SAVAGE Fisherman Harvests Cooler Full of TRASH FISH While Seabass/Fluke Fishing
The trash fish harvesting picks up after 10:00..
Got an invite to fish with my buddy Josh on a 30′ center console (which is for sale, if you are interested send him an email @ [email protected]), we went out of manasquan inlet and fished different rocks and wrecks in a part of the ocean neither of us had ever fished. I had heard the Fluke bite had been very slow as of late so I had my expectations set low, luckily the seabass were cooperative and by days end we did find a couple legal size fluke, the one I caught was on a live squid that Tan had snagged. Best part of the day was watching Tan harvest all the searobins he caught which ended up being well over 50 sea robins. His friends and family ate the fish and said it was decent but a pain to clean. We fished 50′-70′ of water and found sea bass and robins in most spots. Think both our Fluke came in 55′-60′ of water. Saw lots of bunker schools out there, no fish on them.. water temps were as low as 68 close to the beach and 73 a few miles out.
